The Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games have just concluded. Beyond the enthusiasm and the medals, one question remains open: what urban and cultural legacy will the interventions carried out leave on the fabric of Milan?

LINE 2 and THE FIRST LINE Line 2 of the Turin metro is an opportunity to create something lasting. It is an infrastructure project that will not only transform mobility, but also everyday life and the relationships between the places it connects. The first section will run from Rebaudengo station to Torino Porta Nuova railway station, passing through Barriera di Milano and the area of the Corso Novara cemetery, before descending toward the city center. The project will be developed in two phases. Infra.To, the company managing this €1.3 billion contract in Turin, launched an international competition to define the entire system of the first section of Line 2 — from the architecture of the stations to the visual identity and signage, from structural design to communication.

ITALIAN PROJECTS AROUND THE WORLD, BENEDETTO CAMERANA GOES TO CANNES Each year, MIPIM in Cannes serves as a strategic meeting point for decision makers, investors, developers, and institutions in the international real estate sector. Benedetto Camerana Studio had already been invited to the 2024 edition, on which occasion Benedetto Camerana presented the redevelopment project for Spina 1 and the Innovation Mile.

THE BASILICA OF SUPERGA: THE MEANING OF THE ENTRANCE The Basilica of Superga, a Juvarrian architectural and landscape masterpiece and a landmark in Turin’s skyline, is experiencing a period of renewed attention and growing public success. A destination for sporting and religious pilgrimages, a symbol of Savoyard Turin, and a privileged vantage point over the city, Superga—and the ascent to the Basilica—has once again become a classic Sunday outing. Visitor numbers have risen from 80,000 to 145,000 since 2019, with a significant increase from 2021 onward, the year in which the complex was entrusted to Sermig, which now oversees its management by integrating spirituality, sport, and culture.

BENEDETTO CAMERANA AT SOTHEBY’S COLLECTORS WEEK OF ABU DHABI Abu Dhabi is not just an oasis in the desert: it is a multiplier of possibilities. Remarkable things happen here, and good ideas—especially in the contemporary art sector—find concrete opportunities to grow. This is where Sotheby’s Collector Week took place (2–5 December 2025), an event dedicated to collecting, featuring the conference “The Future of Collectibles – Real and Digital” on the future of museums and collecting—where Benedetto Camerana was invited to share his vision.

Every architectural project is born digitally first, and only when its digital twin is complete does the project take shape in the real world. Imagine designing a building with no constraints of cost, materials, or feasibility. That is what Benedetto Camerana has done with the Roarington Art Center, a contemporary art center in the metaverse. As Fritz Kaiser told the Art Basel blog, “in every city of value—digital or real—there must be a place dedicated to art, reflection, and shared imagination. Here we have created something new: a museum that is not a replica of reality, but opens up a new way of experiencing art in the twenty-first century.” The project therefore marks the beginning of a new chapter for contemporary art, as Payal Uttam emphasized in the article.

On 18 November 2025, within the setting of the Venice Architecture Biennale, the workshop Behavioral City will take place—an initiative promoted by the Herbert Simon Society. The project originates from the volume Behavioral City by Riccardo Viale, 2024 (which we previously discussed here) and aims to integrate Behavioral Urbanism, Behavioral Architecture, and Behavioral Public Policy into a single conceptual framework applied to the contemporary city. Galleria 610 opened in November, the new museum dedicated to contemporary automotive culture located within the GridX hub in Luxembourg. The architectural and exhibition design by Benedetto CAMERANA Studio unfolds across 2,000 m², creating an immersive journey that explores the relationship between innovation, design, and automotive culture. Situated in the heart of Europe, at the strategic crossroads between Germany and France, Galleria 610 stands in a territory that serves as a true European and international interchange—an ideal setting for a museum devoted to global automotive culture.

On 21 October 2025, the first GO Fit Italia sports center opened to the public, located inside the former Mercato dei Fiori in Turin. The architectural project, designed by Benedetto Camerana Studio, transforms a major historic structure into a contemporary hub dedicated to health, sports, and family well-being, contributing significantly to the urban regeneration of the city. This is the first sports center built in Italy by the Madrid-based group—an intervention of strategic importance for the transformation of Turin’s northern district. Pools, gyms, studios for classes, relaxation areas, and new public outdoor spaces redefine the relationship between the building and the neighborhood, creating an innovative and inclusive offer for the community.

Benedetto Camerana was invited to serve as a member of the international jury for the new edition of the Lih Pao Sculpture Biennial Award, one of Taiwan’s most important competitions for artistic installations, promoted by the Lih Pao Cultural Arts Foundation and dedicated to emerging young artists. The Foundation is an expression of the LIH PAO GROUP, a major real estate player and a leading force in Taiwan’s urban development. Guided by the claim “The Sower of Culture and Art”, the Foundation views architecture and art as cultural expressions capable of fostering social growth, integrating social responsibility, creative energy, and dialogue with the territory.

For the fifth consecutive year, Benedetto Camerana has designed the architectural project for the Nitto ATP Finals. The 2025 Fan Village, created for FITP, was further enhanced this year in both its volumes and functions: an ecosystem of temporary architectures, exhibition spaces, and immersive installations that welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors throughout the week of world-class tennis. Among the most appreciated features was the spectacular LED-wall façade of the Fan Village: 120 meters long and 17 meters high, a monumental surface of moving images animated by a show of LED lights, lasers, and luminous bubbles that captivated the audience—one of the most striking experiences of this year’s Finals. This high-impact luminous scenography transformed the installation into a true dynamic façade, recalling the urban atmospheres of the iconic LED walls of Las Vegas and Shanghai. An intervention that made the space unmistakable and visually powerful, both during the event and into the evening hours.

During Art Basel 2025, inside the UBS VIP Lounge and the restaurant of Hall 1, Roarington Meta unveiled the world premiere of its new Art Center, designed by Benedetto Camerana Studio. Promoted by the Ringier Collection, the space is both immersive and hybrid—physical and digital—conceived to host Matt Mullican’s phygital works and interactive performances. The project marks a new chapter in contemporary art, where sensory experiences and advanced technologies redefine the relationship between artist, artwork, and audience.

Design Garage Lancia Appia GTE Zagato Benedetto Camerana Studio x MAUTO – Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile Milan 08—13 Aprile – register form The space at Via Scaldasole 7, a hidden gem tucked between the historic streets of Conca del Naviglio and Via Arena in Milan’s Navigli district, transforms into a special place during Fuori Salone. MAUTO – Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile and Benedetto Camerana Studio present Design Garage, the creative retreat of an imaginary designer-architect-artist, a collector of classic cars. A fictional character who has chosen to live in a truly Milanese setting, bringing together under a vast atelier skylight his projects and objects, design and architecture, winter garden, car workshop, artist’s studio, and meeting place.

Since 2021, Benedetto Camerana Studio has designed the Inalpi Arena and the Fan Village for the Nitto ATP Finals, an event that transforms the city of Turin for 10 days. For 2024, we have made significant improvements to the Fan Village, expanding it with new courts, dining areas, and immersive games. The temporary complex is adorned with LED lights, making the event even more iconic.

Benedetto Camerana designed the urban and landscape plan for Roarington Meta, the first city in the metaverse entirely dedicated to the world and culture of classic cars. Roarington, in partnership with Mercedes-Benz, has just welcomed the automotive heritage of the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart into its virtual universe. Benedetto Camerana was invited to the platform’s launch event with a dual role: as an architect and as President of MAUTO.

As every year, Benedetto Camerana was invited to participate in a roundtable at Utopian Hours, the city-making festival organized by Stratosferica. The discussion focused on the future of real estate development in Turin: revitalizing the city requires rethinking how to engage the market by integrating social and high-tech trends into the urban fabric. New models, experimentation, boldness, and vision are needed. The session was fully booked.  

On October 12th and 13th, Rimini will host an event organized by the Fondazione Pio Marzù, honoring the designer who made history at Fiat—most notably as the creator of the iconic 127. This significant cultural event for automotive and design enthusiasts will feature a prestigious lineup, with many renowned international names from the worlds of design and architecture. Benedetto Camerana has been invited to participate in two different panels, both as an architect and as an automotive expert.

The Plan magazine is an internationally renowned architecture and design publication. Each year, the THE PLAN AWARD recognizes excellence in architecture, interior design, and urban planning. Benedetto Camerana Studio’s project for the Nitto ATP Finals 2023 is a finalist in the “Special Project” category, dedicated to agile, temporary architecture. The site describes the project as a community experience accessible to the public, encompassing both the design of the indoor spaces of the arena and the Fan Village, featuring the Winter Garden, pickleball courts, and the greenhouse. On Friday, July 12th, Benedetto Camerana Studio participated in the Cortina Design Weekend, an event featuring a program of discussions on design, architecture, and landscape aimed at showcasing the territory and cultural heritage of Cortina d’Ampezzo. For Benedetto Camerana, it was an opportunity to present some of his projects related to sports, particularly winter sports, twenty years after Turin 2006 and two years ahead of Milan-Cortina 2026.

At the Tall Buildings Convention at Triennale Milano, Benedetto Camerana explored Turin’s iconic skyscrapers and his visionary projects. Among them, the finalist proposal for the Regione Piemonte, inspired by the Alps, and the Intesa San Paolo project with Liebeskind. He also introduced the Innovation Mile, a research and innovation hub for Turin.

On May 21st, Benedetto Camerana was invited to participate as a designer in the prestigious round table “Meeting with Real Estate Designers” as part of the grand congress “Projects of Italy,” organized by Quotidiano Immobiliare at Allianz MiCo in Milan.

Passing by the area designated for new Borgo San Giuseppe School Institute, you only see a fenced-off building: this is how the beginning of a construction site presents itself when everything is still an idea, a possibility about to become concrete – quite literally. This project, “Construction of new schools by replacing buildings,” is part of the broader plan of the PNRR – Next Generation EU, which envisages the construction of 212 school buildings across Italy.

In 2024, Benedetto Camerana Studio continues to envision the containers, and thus the contents, of Nitto ATP Finals, the major international tennis event in Turin. Once again, we will be responsible for setting up the venue for the event, the Inalpi Arena (ex Pala Alpitour), and creating the commercial partner village, open to the public.

From April 11th to 14th, we participated along with 18 other architecture and design studios in the collective exhibition by Manifesto dell’Abitare at the MIA-Photo Fair. Manifesto dell’Abitare interpreted the theme of the event, change, focusing on the element of water and its fluidity. Benedetto Camerana Studio showcased the Masterplan project for the Messina Waterfront with a concise vision board and delivered a speech during the fair’s public program. This project, which we have been working on for over 10 years, proposes a large-scale concept to reshape the entire Messina waterfront, providing citizens with a new linear view of the sea, an area historically blocked by abandoned buildings and a massive railway passage dividing the urban area from the water. It was gratifying to discuss the idea of opening a seaside city to the sea during this moment of reflection and sharing on architecture, landscape, and change.

A few days ago in Milan – during the “holy” week of the design week – we had the inauguration of the Bottega, the latest addition to the Larusmiani boutique that we designed at Via Verri 10, inaugurated exactly one year ago during the off-salon. The Bottega is indeed the latest intervention in the positioning and identity of the historic Milanese brand, which entrusted Benedetto Camerana with its new concept store, an ambitious project where clothing and lifestyle interact with the culture of sports car racing and exhibit design.

From Taranto to Tokyo in an hour and half, traveling at 16,000 km/h, 400 kilometers above the Earth, practically in orbit. It’s not science fiction, but it’s what was discussed at the MAM Aerospace Convention in Grottaglie, Puglia, from March 20th to 22nd. Three days of conferences, roundtable discussions, flight demonstrations to bring together key players in the aerospace industry with international investors and incubators. The goal: mobility and space transportation system.

The MIPIM is largest international event for real estate, construction, and property market, a strategic meeting place for key decision-makers, investors, developers, and institutions. The CEIP, regional organization dedicated to internationalization of Piedmont territory, has once again invited Benedetto Camerana along with other selected companies to represent the excellence of Piedmont Region.

Perhaps the first love, however, was music, passed down from his mother Francesca Gentile Camerana, fondly remembered in an interview with Corriere. A musician, patron, and artistic director of the Auditorium of Lingotto, she founded De Sono in 1988, an association that supports the path of young musicians and musicologists, of which Benedetto Camerana is now president, continuing its mission. In the newsletter, we remember one of the projects in this arena where architecture serves music.

A few days ago, the Promoter Committee of Torino Innovation Mile was informally presented: ambitious redevelopment project of the railway bypass area, covering 200,000 square meters between Porta Susa and Corso Principe Oddone. The aim is to transform these abandoned lands into a system of iconic places in city, which simultaneously generates and attracts development and innovation in area by hosting companies, startups, and incubators. The committee brings together the most dynamic entities and energies in city: NexTo with its president Davide Canavesio, Infra.To, Liftt, New Cleo, Planet, Ogr, Politecnico di Torino, and Environment Park. Benedetto Camerana has designed architectural plans for project and presented them alongside committee.

Designing healthcare has been a theme on Benedetto Camerana’s worktables for more than fifteen years, involving various aspects of civic life to which he has always been dedicated: urban well-being, hospitality, and care. We faced this type of challenge for the first time in 2008-2009, winning grouping with responsibilities for architecture and landscape in competition for the design of the new hospital center in Novara. It is a true urban hub for health, research, and innovation. The preliminary design for City of Health included the hospital, a place of excellence for care, the Faculty of Medicine with a research center, and the extensive public garden of complex.

Speaking of hospitality, churches and their surroundings represent inviolable places of welcome. Sermig is a group of immense spiritual and organizational value, active for sixty years in the field of assistance, combating inequalities, and promoting social development. Benedetto Camerana has a longstanding friendship with association and its founder, Ernesto Olivero, which, as early as 2009, led to gift of the design and realization of the Church of Santa Maria Madre dei Giovani in the Arsenal of Peace in Turin. The book below tells the beauty of this space, which takes shape from a few simple elements: the pure and absolute geometries and light filtered through skylights, converging into luminous cross, alluding to a dialogue with absolute and between monotheistic religions.

In face of beauty of classical architecture, one is left speechless. The task of designers is to restore beauty, enhance it, and guide on a path of wonder. The archaeological site of Eraclea Minoa in province of Agrigento houses ruins of a city from the 5th century B.C., including a magnificent theater whose cavea overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. In the international competition for the Restoration and Conservation of the Temple of Eraclea Minoa, Benedetto Camerana and his team received the third prize for a project that, in addition to preserving the archaeological ruins and ensuring visitor comfort, took care to enhance value of landscape.

Walking stimulates imagination and reconciles meditation. When done with an icon of global design culture, inspiration knows no bounds. Benedetto Camerana strolled through his Environment Park alongside Emilio Ambasz in Turin, where he was receiving an honorary degree in Systemic Design from Politecnico. Accompanying this visit were Sergio Pace, Professor of Architectural History at the Politecnico of Turin and curator of university’s historical archives, and Giacomo Portas, the incoming president of Environment Park.

2023 was an eventful year in which Benedetto Camerana’s legacy for a full care for the planet found new projects to pursue his vision for a sustainable architecture!! #HAPPYNEWYEAR

Nitto ATP Finals 2023 (from November 12th to 19th) were a great success, further establishing Torino decisively in the world of international tennis. Studio Camerana contributed to nurturing this image and strengthening this bond by designing, for third consecutive year, all the temporary setups for sporting event, including adaptations to permanent structures for matches at Pala Alpitour. After creating commercial partner village in Piazza San Carlo in 2021, it was reshaped in a more engaging manner in 2022, dedicating an entire area for refreshment and devising viewing spots for live game broadcasts. Last year, the Fan Village was relocated to Piazza d’Armi, adjacent to Pala Alpitour, to condense all activities related to event in one area, but more importantly, to create a public space symbolically and practically as a natural extension of spectacle staged in arena.

Benedetto Camerana was invited to engage with a gathering of architecture scholars on concept of Behavioral City©, developed by Riccardo Viale, a full professor of Behavioral Sciences and Cognitive Economics at University of Milano-Bicocca and director of Herbert Simon Society, a research and dissemination entity focusing on neuroscience, cognitive sciences, and behavior. The meeting in Venice, where Viale acted as the speaker and Camerana as the discussant alongside Debora Rossi, officer for Historical Archive of Biennale, is part of a project aiming to foster collaboration between behavioral sciences, public services, and design (urban, architectural, and interior). The goal is to generate public well-being—particularly concerning values such as energy efficiency, environmental protection, and inclusivity.

When it comes to cities, Benedetto Camerana’s reflection cannot disregard his first city, Turin. For over thirty years, he has envisioned, designed, and promoted Turin’s role as an innovation hub on international scene. In this interview with La Stampa [only Italian], he shares his clear ideas with readers about the type of interventions and direction to take to attract development and promote new investments.

The construction of Benedetto Camerana’s project for the future exhibition space and multifunctional center is progressing rapidly in Via Tortona district, facing Officine della Scala and MUDEC. The project is based on redevelopment of two linear workshops, partly through demolition and reconstruction, partly through recovery and integration. The main building facing Via Tortona is demolished and rebuilt with a revision of volume in a decagonal section, incorporating a series of new design elements: industrial metal structure, asymmetric skylight, recovery of industrial facade as an archaeological fragment, entrance garden, and a large linear facade serving as urban scenography in translucent material with a subtle luminance.

The Ex Mercato dei Fiori in Via Perugia will become the first Go-Fit sports center in Italy. Benedetto Camerana is overseeing the sustainable transformation and enhancement project of the building and the surrounding areas of the Aurora neighborhood, particularly the parking lot on Corso Brescia, which is being transformed into a public square with a garden. For the Ex Mercato dei Fiori complex, the project defines a recovery of the structures and facades that characterize this historic public building. In recent months, a selective demolition phase of the building parts to be reconstructed has taken place.

“Roarington is the perfect platform to be in and to work with to reach the worldwide interest for Italian cars.” Benedetto Camerana The TCCT – The Classic Car Trust forum took place in St. Moritz with the presentation of the second release of the virtual platform Roarington Metaland, available from May according to the masterplan by Benedetto Camerana Studio. On September 15th, the new update of the portal was released, featuring “The Classic Dream Car NFT Collection” as part of the collection.

STATI GENERALI DELLA CULTURA On September 13 and 14, the event organized by Il Sole 24 Ore, “Stati generali della Cultura 2023,” took place. Benedetto Camerana was invited as a guest to the panel titled “The culture of enterprise: a heritage of innovation” to share his experience as an architect and president of the National Automobile Museum. The meeting was highly successful, and the many distinguished participants discussed the transformation of the cultural world and cultural productions in Italy. Media, publishing, cinema and TV, the world of communication and design, new models of consumption, private investments within the framework of public programming were the focal points of the 2023 edition of the summit dedicated to the world of culture.

At the end of January, the provisional awarding of the competition for the project “Construction of new schools by replacing buildings” planned under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU, was confirmed. The award involves a Temporary Grouping of Professionals, with Politecna Europa as the lead contractor, and Benedetto Camerana Studio and Ansaldi as partners.

The construction of Benedetto Camerana‘s project for the future exhibition space and multifunctional center is proceeding rapidly at Via Tortona 31. The project is based on redevelopment of two linear workshops, partly through renovation and integration, and partly through demolition and reconstruction.

Benedetto Camerana strengthens his presence in Milan and opens a new office for his Studio at Via Scaldasole 7, in an extraordinarily evocative space, a large artist’s studio with a skylight, in the bohemian district next to Basilicas of San Lorenzo and Sant’Eustorgio. The project envisions and creates a place dedicated to thought and creativity, an open space where ideas about the city can be designed and exchanged.

ARCHITECTURE EXHIBITION FOR VENICE BIENNALE During the Venice Biennale 2023 event, from July 2nd to 16th, a collective exhibition organized by the Manifesto dell’Abitare and Platform will take place at the evocative spaces of Scuola Grande Misericordia, Sestiere Cannaregio 3599, Venice. It will be a moment of reflection and growth on themes that constitute the Manifesto, with the participation of many renowned national and international figures, including Benedetto Camerana Studio.

THE FIRST RETAIL PROJECT BY BENEDETTO CAMERANA STUDIO On the 101st anniversary of its founding, Larusmiani entrusts Benedetto Camerana and Sirio Barillaro with the project for new headquarters: a concept store where clothing and lifestyle interact with automotive culture and exhibit design, in synergy with the brand’s style, values, and contemporaneity.

RETHINKING GLOBALIZATION The International Festival of Economy taking place in Turin from June 1st to 4th. Architect Benedetto Camerana will be one of the speakers on panel “Innovative and Sustainable Infrastructures: an opportunity to support transitions“, organized by Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation. The panel will take place on Sunday, June 4th, at 2:00 PM at the Museo del Risorgimento (Museum of Risorgimento).

ESG CERTIFICATION On May 25th, the closed-door event Progetti d’Italia + Camelot will take place, organized by Il Quotidiano Immobiliare. Arch. Camerana will be a speaker in the panel dedicated to ESG Certification, presenting a reflection titled “BLUE | WELL | APP – A design perspective on ESG criteria.” Additionally, he will participate in the panel dedicated to the architecture profession.

LIVE BROADCAST ON RAI RADIO 3 FAHRENHEIT On May 22nd the great FIAT factory of Lingotto celebrates one hundred years. During the Turin Book Fair, the Fahrenheit program on RAI Radio 3 celebrates the anniversary of this extraordinary monument of 20th-century industrial architecture, where this major cultural event has been taking place for years. Architect Camerana is invited to speak on the microphones of RAI Radio 3, recounting the glorious history of the Lingotto and the transformation project of the Hanging Garden, as President of Lingotto Consortium and author of the project itself.

TCCT – The Classic Car Trust is releasing today the virtual platform Roarington Meta, the first city in the metaverse entirely dedicated to the world and culture of classic automobiles, to give a future perspective to cars of the past. Roarington Meta is accessible to everyone in an immersive reality through the most advanced digital technologies. The Masterplan of Roarington Meta has been developed with urban and architectural consultancy by Benedetto Camerana.

“FuoriConcorso Open Museum” is the name of the 2023 edition of Fuoriconcorso, the event dedicated to the world of classic and contemporary automobiles. Benedetto Camerana will be a guest as a reference figure in the field of exhibition culture, both as President of MAUTO and as a specialized designer of automobiles’ museums and architectures.

RE-THINKING CITIES Arch. Camerana served as the coordinator of the “RE-THINKING CITIES: The impact of ESG insights on investment strategies and architectural programs” panel, which involved several important international architecture and engineering firms, during the Perspective Europe 2023 Forum held in Venice from May 14th to 16th.

THE FIRST EDITION OF FESTIVAL DEDICATED TO RESEARCH AND INNOVATION From May 8th to 13th, the first edition of the MIND Innovation Week was held. This public festival took place in the MIND Milano Innovation District and featured over 70 events, including workshops, talks, workshops, and performances with academics, researchers, institutions, businesses, and startups exploring the major themes of our time. Arch. Benedetto Camerana was invited to participate in the roundtable discussion titled Beyond ESG: Opportunities, Investment, Impact.

THE FIRST ITALIAN FESTIVAL DEDICATED TO SPACE HAS JUST CONCLUDED On Sunday, May 7th, the first edition of Space Festival, the first Italian festival entirely dedicated to space, concluded. The festival featured over 100 events spread across four days, all of which were free and took place throughout the city of Turin. It was an event designed for families, the curious, and space enthusiasts.

PRESENTATION OF THE RESTORED ARTWORK “LOCUS OF RAIN” On March 22nd, World Water Day is celebrated, the occasion established by the United Nations to invite institutions and people around the world to reflect on the value of water resources and the importance of taking action to protect them. At 11:00 am, at the Lingotto Congress Center in Turin, SMAT presents to citizens the restoration of the artwork Locus of Rain by artist Susumu Shingu. The presentation will be given by SMAT President Paolo Romano, and dialogue will be attended by Mayor Stefano Lo Russo, architect and Consorzio Lingotto President Benedetto Camerana, Superintendent of Archaeology Fine Arts and Landscape Lisa Accurti, Dr. Paolo Verri, and architect and Senator for life of the Italian Republic Renzo Piano.

The collaboration between iGuzzini and Benedetto Camerana Studio has its roots in the past, with numerous collaborations in museums, housing and public. The recent example of Pista500 covering 27,000 square meters of coverage, with natural installations covering over 6,000 square meters, divided into twenty-eight green “islands”.

Architecture and Real Estate is the topic discussed by Benedetto Camerana and Pier Massimo Cinquetti in the “Non solo Voci” podcast, hosted by Maria Chiara Voci and Paola Triaca. Torre Littoria one of the urban symbols of Turin, the Benedetto Camerana studio signed in 2020 a series of apartments, in which the baroque architecture of the city became the protagonists through a game of glass and reflective surfaces, creating a vision “kaleidoscopic” completely new.

On 25 November from 10:00 to 18:00 will be held in Catania at the Congress Center Cultural Fair “The Chimneys” (Room C3), the seminar that will treat the theme of Waterfront in the Sicily. Benedetto Camerana with Claudio Lucchesi will bear witness to the project launched in 2012 and still in progress on the Waterfont of Messina.

From 13 to 20 November, the Nitto Atp Finals, the sporting event of international importance in which the world’s best tennis players compete in single and double competitions were held in Turin, in the spectacular setting of the PalaAlpitour. For the second year in a row, arch. Camerana designed the spaces of the PalaAlpitour – which during the event welcomed players, technical staff, journalists, sponsors and the public – and the Fan Village.

On 23 October Cottino Social Impact Campus  organised a study day for experts, academics and professionals on the topic of social impact assessment in urban regeneration interventions.

On 18-19 October, the first edition of the “General States of the Football World of work” was held in Bologna. The event saw various personalities discuss the most relevant and urgent issues affecting the world of football today, such as new skills, training and recruiting, infrastructure, youth football, women’s professionalism and eSports.

The Arch. Camerana was the moderator of the Panel Discussion “The Importance of Circular Economy” that involved many important international studies of architecture and engineering, on the occasion of the Forum Perspective Europe 2022 that was held in Venice from 16 to 18 October.

On Sunday 16 October, several international guests, including journalists, architects and urban planners, were accompanied by Benedetto Camerana to discover La Pista 500 in an event organised as part of the Utopian Hours festival.

PERSPECTIVE EUROPE FORUM 2022 Arch. Camerana will participate in Perspective Europe: an international forum of Architecture and Interior Design organized by The Plan to be held in Venice on 17 and 18 October, which brings together the entire architecture chain involving over 200 companies and more than 400 participants from Europe, Russia, Turkey and India.

LA PISTA500 ENTERS THE SHORTLIST OF THE 5 BEST LANDSCAPE PROJECTS IN THE WORLD FOR THE 2022 DEZEEN AWARD La Pista500 is among the 5 finalists in the Landscape project section for the international Dezeen Award 2022. The prestigious international jury of Dezeen selected La Pista500 project, first among the 26 finalists in the category, among over 5,400 applications from over 90 countries, and later in the shortlist 5 best projects.

On Wednesday 13 July, the 53rd edition of the Nitto ATP Finals was presented, the second in a row that takes place in Turin.

On Friday 1 July Benedetto Camerana was invited by the Academy of Intesa San Paolo to give a lesson on the management and enhancement of automotive collections at the Gallerie d’Italia Turin.

On June 24, the EGHN – European Garden Heritage Network award ceremony took place at the castle of Schloss Dyck, Germany. The arch. Benedetto Camerana received the second prize in the “contemporary gardens” category with the architectural project of the hanging garden built on the Lingotto test track, La Pista500.

La Pista500 is among the three finalist projects in the “Design or Conception of a Contemporary Park or Garden” category of the European Garden Award 2022 promoted by EGHN (European Garden Heritage Network). The winners will be awarded on June 24. The award ceremony will take place in the Schloss Dyck park (Dusseldorf) starting at 5pm.

On June 17, Arch. Camerana will speak at the Cityscape international symposium as part of a program full of interventions to be held at the  Salone d’Onore of Triennale di Milano in Viale Alemagna 6 on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 June 2022 from 9:00 to 18:00.

On May 27, 2022, La Pista 500, the roof garden commissioned by FIAT and designed by Benedetto Camerana, was opened to the public and is now accessible to visitors.

Arch. Benedetto Camerana was interviewed by Marina Paglieri about the opening of La Pista500 to the public. The interview was published in the newspaper La Repubblica on May 25.

Arch. Camerana spoke on May 19 at the conference “Urban Regeneration in the city of 15 minutes” which was held in Milan at the Mirage Project Point in Via Marsala 7.

The University’s Department of Architecture and Design is organizing the conference “NUOVE FORME DI NATURA –  IL VERDE PENSILE PER RIGENERARE LA CITTA’” to be held in Genoa on 6 and 7 April and it will be possible to follow it both face-to-face and online. On March 31, Architect Benedetto Camerana spoke at the “European Digitalization Grou – Turin 2022” conference organized by the European Federation for Living, in collaboration which was held at Planet Idea, Corso Valdocco 2, Turin.

“Sintesi 59”, the symbol in memory of Armando Testa based on a project by Benedetto Camerana On Friday 30/10/2020 “Sintesi 59” was unveiled, the steel work in memory of Armando Testa, the brilliant Turin artist and advertiser, one of the greatest Italian creatives, protagonist of contemporary visual culture and creator of symbols become part of our collective imagination. “Sintesi 59“, a perfect example of the minimalist sculpture style born in the late 1950s, inaugurated on 27 October 2015, was created with the Artistic Direction and Coordination of Benedetto Camerana, on behalf of the Armando Testa Agency.
