Special mention Ex Frigorifero Militare, Cuneo
The idea of Gianni Arnaudo and Benedetto Camerana for the regeneration of the former Military Refrigerator of the city is inspired by the value of preserving the memory of the history of Cuneo.
The project – which received a special mention in the competition promoted by the CRC Foundation in collaboration with the Order of Architects of Cuneo – captures the strongly evocative aspect of a moment in which the city had lost its walls but retained a an important military presence, so much so as to justify a “neighborhood” near the architectural complex of the Church and Convent of San Francesco.
