THE PISTA500 OF LINGOTTO DESIGNED BY BENEDETTO CAMERANA IS ONE OF THE MOST APPRECIATED LANDSCAPE PROJECTS BY INTERNATIONAL JURIES
After winning the EGHN – European Garden Heritage Network award in autumn, the hanging garden on the roof of the Lingotto is voted by the general public as the best project in its category for the The Plan Award. He won, together with 14 other projects, the mention as a finalist.
The top finishers are: Studio Link-Arc, LLC with Tanglangshan View Deck, a mirror of the sky in the City of Shenzen, and the Weiss/Manfredi studio with Robert W. Wilson overlook, a wandering path through flowering crape myrtle trees in Brooklyn.
In November La Pista500 is recognized by the prestigious international Dezeen Award as one of the five finalist projects, once again among the best architectures for the landscape category. First place went to Heatherwick Studio and Arup and MNLA with Little Island in New York City.
We thank all those who enjoyed, discussed, photographed and walked on the track of Lingotto. We have all helped to celebrate this architecture of the ‘900 that made Turin unique in Italy and in the world. Today a green thread of green architecture sews up the past and future of this iconic place.
