La Pista500 won the European Garden Award
On June 24, the EGHN – European Garden Heritage Network award ceremony took place at the castle of Schloss Dyck, Germany. The arch. Benedetto Camerana received the second prize in the “contemporary gardens” category with the architectural project of the hanging garden built on the Lingotto test track, La Pista500.
Since 2010, more than 110 winners from 17 different countries have received the European Garden Award for their outstanding achievements in the design and construction of contemporary gardens and for the management and development of historic gardens and cultural landscapes. In 2022, the European Garden Award presents a focus on the most current design themes. Italy was awarded for La Pista500 along with winners from other European countries including Estonia, Denmark, Great Britain, France, the Czech Republic and Germany.
The categories awarded were 5:
– Protection or development of a cultural landscape
– Management or enhancement of a historic park or garden
– Design or concept of a contemporary park or garden
– Climate mitigation measures in arches and gardens
– Special award from the international jury
