“Sky Drive”, the roof garden that tells the sustainable soul of the Nuova 500
This morning the new electric 500 and the Sky Drive project, the green redesign of the Lingotto, were presented at the Lingotto.
<<On the roof of Lingotto, a former factory that featured as one of the first conversions of industrial archaeology in the 1990s, the past and future will come together to create ‘Sky Drive’. Developed by a team of specialists led by the architect Benedetto Camerana, the project covers 27,000 m2 of pedestrian walkways, driveways and gardens. It draws its inspiration from New York’s High Line Park, the green redevelopment of the elevated railway line in the Big Apple that once transported goods from Chelsea to the heart of Manhattan. >>
‘Sky Drive’ is the new hanging garden, destined to become the highest in Europe, on the roof of Lingotto, Turin, to be inaugurated on July 4th, 2021 together with Casa 500.
