MAKING SPACE FOR ART AND RESEARCH: ARWE EXHIBITION DESIGNS

The ARWE (Art Research World Expo) project is the result of the INAR (Italian Network of Artistic Research) project, funded by the PNRR (National Network of Artistic Research). It comprises a series of exhibitions and events spread across Turin. The program involves prestigious venues, from Villa della Regina and Palazzo Carignano, to institutions such as the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Gallerie d’Italia, the Egyptian Museum, and CAMERA – Centro Italiano per la Fotografia. It presents artistic research projects from international schools and institutions, offering a forum for discussion among nearly 200 guests from around the world and contributing to strengthening the role of research in contemporary artistic practice, interdisciplinary practices, and the internationalization of the Italian system of higher education in art, music, and dance. The event promotes an interdisciplinary approach, encompassing visual arts, design, film, performance, sound, and digital technologies, and aims to be a platform for dialogue between research, education, and cultural production.

Against this backdrop, Benedetto Camerana Studio won the competition and will design the exhibition displays, translating the event’s principles: openness, plurality, and connection. Soon, we’ll tell you more and show you how we’re designing a coherent and representative space for this prestigious and diverse event.
