Architectural and Exhibition Design for GRIDX, Luxembourg
Within GridX, the new experiential hub dedicated to innovation and automotive culture in Luxembourg, Benedetto Camerana Studio has designed Galleria 610, an exhibition and narrative environment that integrates architecture, design, and storytelling into a single immersive experience.
With Galleria 610, Camerana develops a narrative pathway in which light, material, sound, and image operate as true instruments of interpretation rather than simple effects.
The intention is not to create a traditional museum, but a “technical and poetic gallery” where the culture of the automobile is approached as both a sensory and intellectual experience.
Each car is presented not as a static object but as the protagonist of a story. Carefully designed lighting reveals its form and presence, while sound and backlit surfaces construct a perceptual rhythm that guides visitors through the space.
The architectural scenography maintains a discreet yet decisive role: it does not impose itself but enters into dialogue with the automobile, enhancing it and restoring its centrality within its natural environment.Galleria 610 continues a line of research that Camerana has pursued for years on the relationship between architecture and automotive culture — a journey initiated with the Alfa Romeo Historical Museum in Arese, followed by exhibition designs for the Ferrari Museum in Maranello and the Juventus Museum.
Across all these projects, the constant objective has been to transform space into experience.
GridX offered the ideal context for advancing this investigation, recognizing that contemporary architecture must bridge multiple dimensions: the physical and the digital, the economic and the emotional, memory and innovation.
In this sense, Galleria 610 represents a laboratory for the future —a place where the tradition of automotive design meets emerging forms of urban experience.
It exemplifies one of the most compelling challenges for contemporary architecture: designing spaces that not only accommodate functions, but also generate meaning, identity, and shared cultural value.
